MASS Symposium 2025Topaz, Yeong Bin Gwan 1F
The Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) industry is now entering a new phase of regulatory development and standardization, advancing beyond core technology development and demonstration. In response to this transition, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is accelerating the development of the MASS Code, with a focus on establishing standards for Remote Operation Center (ROC), safety management systems, and detailed technical requirements.
Maritime stakeholders, including the Republic of Korea, are actively contributing to international standardization efforts, while seeking to harmonize advanced technologies with regulatory frameworks for the future of maritime transport.
This symposium, under the theme “Harmony of Advanced Technologies and Regulatory Frameworks for Safe MASS Operations,” will bring together international experts to share the recent developments and discuss strategic directions through keynote presentations and panel discussions.
